The Road To 0.2.4, "The Robots Of War Update"

It's been a WHILE since 0.2.3, so I wanted to make a post showcasing what is being worked on so far for the 0.2.4 update, which will hopefully be the biggest update so far!

New Enemy

First off, our new enemy, R-20 "The Failed Experiment"!

"When building a robot as powerful as R-75 we came across a.. a few challenges" - R-1 Unit 2453, Lead for the R-75 Project

"A Bio Core, while theoretically better then a mechanical one used in R-75, is highly problematic. it is too unstable and explosive to use, and too corruptible"

"We used to say that too much decay and rot would turn it into some sort of zombie. R-42 shut down the project soon after this, as he didn't want to take risks with R-75."

R-20 is a highly explosive zombified failed version of R-75 that explodes on death or if you get too close

You will find him in the new levels, which is the next part of 0.2.4. We don't have any images of them yet to share with you, but imagine if the current levels were longer and had more interesting mechanics. and actually looked good.

Endless Onslaught

The next part of 0.2.4 is the arena rework! the arena, is quite boring and stale as it is currently, and the new arena will REALLY spice things up

(I'm so sorry about the quality blame itch.io)

Rooms are randomized as you go though, getting harder as you go further into the warehouse!

Reworked Gun System

Finally, the gun system will be reworked. There will be primary, secondary, and special gun slots for you to pick along with a throwable weapon (fireball, grenade, etc).

How will you switch between the guns? Introducing

THE ARMORY

Using the MASSIVE computer, you can pick your guns, as well as some other goodies to be revealed later.

New Enemy AI

As Part of 0.2.4, we have reworked some of the enemy and boss ai and also made the other difficulties fair and balanced. Masochist mode is not only possible now but also FUN.

There is much more in this update, but this is all I have to show you for now! this update is quite far from being done, so expect a few months until a release.
